The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has partnered with Safaricom and other key stakeholders to help alleviate hunger for drought stricken families in the Horn of Africa, through the #BongaForLife Campaign.
Since the beginning of 2022, the Horn of Africa has been facing the worst drought in 40 years. At least 1.8million people have ben forced to abandon their homes in search of food, water and shelter.
This is why UNHCR has partnered with Safaricom and other stakeholders to dedicate Bonga Points in response to the devastating drought.
The UNHCR is currently on ground offering immediate relief to drought-stricken families in the Horn of Africa. However, we are struggling to keep up with the overwhelming needs.
This is why we need your assistance by requesting your participation in the #BongaForLife campaign.
