The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Safaricom have partnered to officially unveil the #BongaForLife campaign targeted towards alleviating the suffering experienced by drought-stricken families in the Horn of Africa on Tuesday, 13th December 2022.
This drought appeal media launch is being flagged off by Kenya’s most influential mega/celebrity social media influencers/content creators whose participation has been instrumental in helping the UNHCR fight hunger.
The launch held at the official UNHCR Gigiri offices also saw the support of top local and international media houses, corporates and other stakeholders. The media was instrumental in giving prominence to local channels in order to target Bonga Points holders who are all Kenyan.
Key partners involved in the launch of the #BongaForLife campaign include Capwell Industries, Isuzu, ESET Kenya, Telkom Kenya, The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI), United Bank for Africa (UBA) and M-Tiba.
